SπRALS: Southern Parallax Radio Astrometry Legacy Survey

The Southern Parallax Radio Astrometry Legacy Survey (SπRALS) is a large project that aims to significantly improve our knowledge of the structure of the Milky Way and to leverage this knowledge to provide accurate distance estimates to thousands of star forming regions in order to better understand star and planet formation processes. We plan to accomplish this by measuring the trigonometric parallax and proper motions to ~100 star forming regions, as the southern hemisphere continuation of the BeSSeL Survey. This page aims to provide information and help files for all SπRALS related tasks.
