mtporigin is an SGI Origin 3400 supercomputer with 20 processors, each with 1G of RAM and high speed interconnects to allow parallel processing of data. Although impressive sounding, unless your code can do parallelisation, each processor of this computer is quite slow and does not offer many benefits other than huge amounts of RAM.
